Workshops

In clinics we just sit and talk about cycling. In workshops, we talk about cycling and then go ride! Our Hill Night is just one example. It is geared to help you learn about Power/Weight ratio and how to improve your POWER, so that you have stronger legs for climbing hills.

Hill Night is Back!

This is where the rubber meets the road, literally. Hill Night is an outdoor interval training session that uses hills for resistance - and spices it up with changing gear combinations and other items to make a simple yet effective training session out of a ride around the neighborhood. I have been sharing this workout with area cyclists for years - and many of them still use it to help them build more power for better climbing.

After using the same format and route for almost 20 years (Heights Park in Richardson), we have  added a NEW location and NEW format that uses some of the popular hills in the Austin Ranch area. The benefit of the Austin Ranch Hill Night is that it offers the chance for an interval training session OR a hill climbing technique night, where you can actually learn how to apply successful hill climbing techniques focusing on leg speed and heart rate.

Both formats ride out at 6:30PM. We ride for 2 hours and the cost is $20 per person. Space is limited. We'll ride out of Heights Park in April and Arbor Hills in May and June.

Participants reserve a spot by sending an email to Bikin' Mike (with HILL NIGHT in the subject line) and we will send you the locator map and other information.

Monday Night Training Rides

Using a closed loop of .8 mile, this East Plano location has provided an excellent site for group training rides. We work with each individual cyclist to develop their plan for the evening. We have a variety of items that can be the focus of your training for the evening. Possibilities include heat acclimatization, cycling for weight loss, proper gearing for aerobic fitness and power development.

Cost is $10 per person. Rides begin at 6pm and last until the sunlight is gone.To reserve your spot, send an email to Bikin' Mike (with Monday Night Training Ride in the subject line/including date) and we will send you the information.
