Power Blast
After several years at our Training Center, we had a number of clients who wanted to give their legs some extra power work during the winter. Our Power Blast format was first rolled out in 2005 and we have been improving it every year since.
Power Blast classes combine elements of training programs that have been developed by Miji Reoch and Chris Carmichael. These elements are blended to provide some very high intensity interval sessions that utilize some specific gear combinations with changing leg speeds and timing..
Some classes will emphasize anaerobic intervals while others concentrate on aerobic intervals.
Training intensity is determined by heart rate levels and/or power output, so this format can be adapted to cyclists with a variety of ability levels.
Special attention is given to leg speed and pedal dynamics.
